Gerry Johnston’s career in the film industry began in 1966 – on The Blue Max – a World War One film, shot on location in Ireland, starring James Mason and George Peppard.

To date, Gerry has provided effects for almost 70 feature films – in Ireland, the Far East and Europe – as well as numerous TV series, commercials, theatre productions, music promos and corporate events.

Founder and Managing Director of Special Effects Ireland 2000, he is also an action director and film producer.
